A Hive of Learning in the Heart of the City
The Arts
One of our 4 Key Pillars
The Franner Band
Every year natural musical talent is discovered and nurtured from within the student body of Francis Street School. Many of the band's members are first time musicians but under shared stewardship, pure grit and determination, each year 'The Franners' are reborn.. Line-ups include drums, percussion, piano and lead & rhythm guitar.
This year 'The Franners' have been lucky to have had the opportunity of collaborating with BIMM Music College, their students and the brilliant Kieran McGuinness, lecturer at the college and the guitarist with the 'Delorentos'.

Creativity in the Classroom
Creativity in the Classroom attempts to address social and educational disadvantage in a dynamic way, through the visual arts. It involves children learning with the guidance of a professional artist in a creative way, and at the same time exploring in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Francis Street School have been involved in this project since 2016.
