Following another exciting Francis Street Chess Championship this Tuesday an exciting best-of-three final was played by Stefan from 6th class and Tom from 3rd class. These two finalists had earned their places as finalists from the initial 80 players who entered this year's condition from 3rd to 6th class.
The eventual winner, Tom, was presented the Chess Championship perpetual trophy by last year's winner, Kean, who took time from his busy day in Synge Street secondary to make the presentation.
